We cannot fault our stay. It was wonderful. The cottage is idyllic and so private and safe for dogs. With the added bonus of the beach less than 3 mins away.

You are so well catered for, with absolutely everything you would need. Must admit i was so excited that I didn’t even need to wash the pots as I usually do on trips away. The welcome basket was lovely, the dogs say thanks for the gravy bones.

Clean and very comfortable throughout.

Fabulous cottage, squeaky clean, perfect location, very well equipped and great communication with Jemma. Lovely welcome pack, even gravy bones for the dogs. It was refreshing to stay somewhere where dogs aren’t just allowed, they are welcomed as part of the family.

What an absolute joy to find a TOTALLY dog friendly cottage in such a beautiful part of the country! Our three girls made themselves very much at home, sleeping on the (superbly comfortable) beds and relaxing on the huge, comfortable sofa with us in the evening. They loved the garden, which was completely secure, especially the garden sofas which they all made use of!

For the humans (who are of course secondary to the dogs!) there was everything we could possibly have needed and more- including milk in the fridge and a treat basket!

The local area is lovely- not overly commercialised – just enough amenities to make for an easy, relaxing stay- great Fish & Chips shop and Chinese restaurant/takeaway and a REALLY well stocked local shop as well as a superb cafe (Watsons).

The dog friendly area of the beach is a five minute walk from the cottage and stretches for miles… far too far for me and my old Mum and older dogs to walk! There’s also a beautiful walk over fields to the church which we loved…and I’m sure many more we didn’t discover!

The local people are friendly and helpful and there is so much to see and do in the area we could have done with a fortnight to fit it all in.

I cannot recommend April Cottage enough- Jemma was a joy to communicate with and I have no doubt her lovely cottage will very soon be very well known and fully booked 52 weeks a year! Despite the 9 hour drive for us to get there, we would definitely go back.

2 minute walk from the beach and lovely spacious cottage. Bath was amazing!

A few teething issues with hot water and door locking from the inside, but owners were very responsive to messages sent and resolved as quickly as they could.

The perfect holiday cottage! We was looking for a few nights away for us and our dog and found April Cottage. The house is lovely inside and out, very dog friendly with a secure garden and a hot/cold feed to the outside washing area. Inside is very homely and has everything you need. Being able to get to the beach within 2minutes is a massive bonus, especially when our dog Hope, loves the beach and swimming. Would definitely recommend and I’m sure we’ll be back again.

This cottage is in the perfect location for a quiet holiday with easy access to the expansive local beaches. It’s also within an easy drive to Comer, Wroxham or Great Yarmouth. The property itself has had great modernisation and has everything you need – well equipped kitchen, heating, a lovely garden area with a BBQ etc. The garden is really secure – ideal for dogs & children. The owners are easily contactable and helpful and have added some nice touches to make you feel at home straight away. It’s a quiet resort, but with a chip shop, Chinese takeaway and local shop really close by you have what you need on the doorstep. The beaches are clean and just a few minutes walk from the cottage. It was a really relaxing break.

I can’t think of anything we didn’t like about this property.

The cottage was absolutely perfect! Had everything we could have needed, brilliant location with the beach being a 2 minute walk away and super dog friendly! Can’t recommend enough ☀️

Had the most wonderful weekend at April Cottage! Jemma was fantastic from first booking, couldn’t have been more helpful. The cottage itself if perfect, so dog friendly and everything you can think of they have! Location is perfect right by the beach and miles of sandy walks! We will be back 💖 x

Booking the cottage was easy and Jemma answered all my questions patiently.

When we arrived the cottage was clean and lovely. Throws were already on the sofa and mats on the floor for the dogs. There was a lovely welcome pack including some treats for the dogs – which they thoroughly enjoyed.

We loved the garden though sadly the weather wasn’t great and we weren’t able to sit out.

My favourite was the lovely dining room table where I could sit and do my work that I sadly had to do. With a cup of tea and looking out into the garden with the door open and the dogs in and out was lovely.

Jemma answered all my questions quickly whilst at the cottage and responded when there was an issue.

We loved being so close to the beach and we also used some of the lovely sole use dog fields that are fairly close. The hot and cold outside dog shower was amazing and we made use of that which was super handy.

Another highlight was the young deer that could be seen outside the kitchen window that we saw over several days. it was the cutest.

We had a lovely peaceful week and even though the weather wasn’t great we enjoyed it and the dogs did too!

The dogs were allowed everywhere in the cottage which was really lovely and the crates Jemma obtained especially were most welcome and really thoughtful. This meant we could relax at night as the younger ones couldn’t get up to any mischief which meant we slept soundly. They slept well also as they are used to being in a crate and we couldn’t fit ours in the car.

The door at the bottom of the stairs was really handy as we could then prevent any dogs going up, day or night. We bought a throw for the bed as one of our dogs sleeps with us and gets upset if she can’t so dogs being allowed everywhere was essential. This was the only time we had a dog upstairs and we were able to close off the other rooms to keep them nice and the door at the bottom of the stairs meant no other dogs could come up at night and none in the day. Meaning we had total control and could relax. This was the biggest draw of the cottage as so many places are so restrictive and that doesn’t work for us.

All in all a lovely, well thought out cottage that was super dog friendly.

Cannot express how much we enjoyed our stay. From first communications, Jemma has made the experience effortless. The cottage is cozy and well equipped, very clean and comfortable and in an ideal location for long walks on the beach. Try to make a beach walk at sunset if you can…gorgeous! Don’t miss out on the local chip shop (fresh, well cooked and delicious!). Lovely secure garden and a truly dog friendly property that our Presa and Bull Terrier enjoyed very much. Do not hesitate to book! We will definitely be looking to come back 😄

Me and my friend booked to go to Bewildered woods so was looking for somewhere to stay nearby and we found this absolute gem of a place. The cottage has everything you could possibly need, it’s cosy, spacious and the beds are so comfortable. The property had so many extras shampoo/ conditioner/ bubble bath just to name a few. We also arrived to a hamper and fresh milk in the fridge! Before we even arrived I was asked our milk preference & asked about allergies just 5* treatment. What we also loved about April cottage was the garden which had plenty of seating so the children could play while we chilled out. The hosts communicated throughout and definitely went above & beyond. Lastly the location of the cottage was stunning short walk to sandy beach, shops, restaurant, takeaways all close by. We originally only booked 1night due to other commitments but plans changed and we was lucky enough to book an extra night. Can’t wait to return definitely for a longer stay! Oh and while we stayed my daughter lost her tooth so we has a tooth fairy visit April cottage too
